The mild temperatures in Baden-Württemberg make you forget the current season.
But winter could return in March.
Stuttgart - “Desperately looking for a Polar Express,” is how qualified meteorologist Dominik Jung from
wetter.net
describes the weather situation with a view to mid-February.
Instead, the “canary nozzle” brings mild temperatures to Baden-Württemberg, which ensure a real “winter shock” for all snow fans.
The values are only expected to fall towards the end of February and thus return to normal to some extent.
In fact, strangely enough, it could be colder in March than it is currently in February, because temperatures are expected to plummet at the start of meteorological spring on March 1st.
“A March winter doesn’t seem so unlikely,” emphasizes Jung.

“Mild temperatures are really turning up” – it is record-breakingly warm in Baden-Württemberg
But there is currently no sign of this.
“The mild temperatures are here to stay and they are really turning up,” says Jung, who statistically speaking it could also be an “extremely warm February”.
In fact, the thermometer has been showing record-breaking temperatures for weeks, and the current month is one of the warmest since weather records began.
The value will probably increase quite a bit in the coming days.
Tomorrow, Ash Wednesday, 8 to 14 degrees are expected in southwest Germany, and even 15 degrees on the Upper Rhine.
Spring fever should arise in the country by Thursday at the latest.
The warmth from France, where the good weather is already waiting, will then “spill over to us” and temperatures could climb to 18 degrees.
It stays dry and the sun can be seen here and there.

The trend will continue on Friday, when temperatures of up to 17 degrees are expected in Baden-Württemberg.
It will only get a little cooler at the weekend.
The maximum temperatures reach 13 degrees on Saturday and 14 degrees on Sunday, although it remains cloudy and the sun is rarely visible.
Only towards the end of next week will the temperatures drop significantly, but for now, according to Jung, it will remain “mild, mild, mild”.

Latest March forecast: Is the cold shock coming for Baden-Württemberg next month?
The current forecast for March looks completely different.
Although most of Germany will be up to one degree above the long-term average in the coming month, because February is in unusually warm climates, there will probably still be a cooling down.
An average March in recent decades has a temperature of 4.6 degrees, but this February has so far reached a whopping 6.6 degrees.
The result: Curiously, the coming month could be colder than the current one.
So while winter sports enthusiasts and snow fans can still hope for a winter treat, everyone who prefers spring should enjoy the current temperatures to the fullest.
