A police officer from the province of
Córdoba
, who carried out administrative tasks in the force and had a psychiatric license, died in the early hours of this Saturday, after stealing a truck, leading a chase and shooting himself in the head.

The man was identified as
Nicolás Loases, 35 years old
.
He worked in the investigation brigade, but a few weeks ago he had presented a psychiatric folder.
Before, he served as a “postman” in judicial units and carried out administrative tasks,
without carrying weapons
.
It was on Tuesday that Loases attacked a woman in the Poeta Lugones neighborhood and stole her Chevrolet Prisma car and escaped.
Inside the vehicle was also the victim's cell phone, which had GPS, which was key so that after the complaint a search could be initiated
through the tracker

The chase ended with the police surrounded on Chaviscate Street at 1800. Cornered by the patrolmen, the perpetrator of the robbery continued his escape on foot and jumped over the fence of a house to continue along the roofs.
Security cameras captured the moment when Loases, cornered and unable to escape, grabbed his gun and
shot himself in the head

In the recording known in the last few hours it is seen that Loases does not aim at his companions, he directs the cannon at his head and triggers three times.
The last pull left him without reaction.
It all happened in the Talleres Este neighborhood, northeast of the capital city.
All of this became known in the last few hours with the appearance of the key video in the investigation, since at first it was believed that the shot had actually come from one of the weapons of the officers who were pursuing him.
Loases was taken to the Emergency Hospital in critical condition.

The case is in the hands of prosecutor Raúl Garzón, who, although he is beginning to close the investigative circle, continues to carry out all types of tests on the officers who participated in the operation and the persecution.
It was the prosecutor himself who said that the officer had managed some medical files, although he clarified that they were for short periods.
