Heidi Klum and “Germany's Next Top Model” are back with a new concept.
Ex-juror Peyman Amin doesn't have a good word to say about the new season.
Munich – Heidi Klum (50) hasn’t had enough yet – and will be back in 2024 with a new season of “Germany’s Next Top Model”.
The supermodel has big plans for this year and doesn't just want to choose one winner.
For the first time, male models are also allowed to take part in the casting show.
So in the end a woman and a man win.
On February 15, 2024, the first new GNTM episode flickered across the screens - and has already caused a lot of criticism.
Ex-juror Peyman Amin thinks the new GNTM season is “even worse than expected”
The new concept was at least unable to convince ProSieben viewers.
Many fans online gossiped about the show and Heidi Klum's GNTM candidate.
And now an ex-juror is joining in.
Peyman Amin (52) was an integral part of the show from 2006 to 2010 and became known throughout Germany through his appearances as a coach alongside the model mother.
But he now looks at the format critically - and is also disappointed with the current season.

The modeling agent was already expecting it.
“I'm actually not surprised.
If anything, it's because the potential for both men and women is even worse than expected.
In my opinion it has become a talent-free zone.
“You have to look with a magnifying glass to discover talent and potential,” he says in an interview with

.
GNTM has now developed into “a trash entertainment show”.
While watching, Peyman Amin was reminded of RTL+ formats.
“There were moments when I thought I was watching Bachelor in Paradise,” he says.
Scandal even before the GNTM broadcast
It was already announced in advance that there could be a lot of drama and tears on “Germany's Next Top Model” this year.
A former “Prince Charming” participant tried his luck in Heidi Klum’s modeling show.
Before the broadcast, he already revealed that he had left GNTM and was tough on the show.
Peyman Amin's tough verdict: Only two GNTM applicants have modeling potential
At the start on Thursday, viewers were able to watch Heidi Klum at the open casting in Berlin.
Numerous women and men marched down the catwalk and tried by all means to get the head judge's attention.
Among many extravagant candidates, two almost disappeared.
“Armin and Dominik – in my opinion, they have potential to work as models.
But ultimately the focus wasn’t on them at all, but on people who stand out, at any cost,” explains Peyman Amin.

The 52-year-old knows exactly why.
“It’s a fight for quotas,” he says.
In fact, the daily ratings are crucial for the broadcasters.
But it didn't really work out for GNTM: ProSieben and Heidi Klum suffered a bitter defeat in a direct duel with the “Bergdoktor”.
