A police officer who served in the Departmental Investigation Delegation (DDI) of
General Belgrano
, in the province of Buenos Aires, and who on his days off repaired appliances, was murdered this Saturday by two shots, after an
argument with a client
over fixing a washing machine.
The crime occurred on 32nd Street, between Rodolfo Walsh Avenue and 21st Street, in that city located about 162 kilometers from the Federal Capital.
The victim, identified as
Oscar Ezequiel Ochoa, was 39 years old
.
According to judicial and police sources, Ochoa, who was on duty, went this afternoon to the house of an
82-year-old man
who called him by phone to request the
repair of a washing machine
.
However, for unknown reasons, there was an exchange of words and the old man refused to let the police remove the device.
As a result, Ochoa left the place in his car and a block later the client passed him his gray Renault 9 vehicle.
Then, the older man got out of his car and
fired two shots at the police officer
, who practically died in the car.
The aggressor fled the scene, while members of the General Belgrano Police Station went to the crime scene and the ambulance doctor confirmed Ochoa's death.
The officers immediately began searching for the man and finally
managed to arrest him
minutes later.
The accused was placed at the disposal of prosecutor Jonatan Robert, in charge of the decentralized Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) of Chascomús, who will investigate him in the next few hours.
"Excellent person Oscar. He repaired my refrigerator and a frizzer. Terrible news!!! RIP..." a Facebook user fired him in a publication that reported on the murder.
Another, meanwhile, wrote: "An excellent guy, a very good, calm person, I find it hard to believe, greetings to heaven, Oscar, and a big kiss and marine strength."
