While the new “Schlager-Fuß mit Andy Borg” episode is already running in Austria on Saturday (February 17th), SWR and MDR are sitting out for the time being.

German fans therefore have to be patient.

Offenburg - The big hit shows on Erste have been firmly in the hands of Florian Silbereisen (42) for two decades now, while ZDF has been relying on Giovanni Zarrella (45) since September 2021.

But ARD's third television programs also have a colorful music program to offer, including SWR with Andy Borg's (63) “Schlager-Spaß”.

But its latest edition is currently only running on Austrian television.

SWR is stopping in February: “Schlager-Fun with Andy Borg” is initially only on ORF2

And that despite the fact that there is currently every reason to celebrate in the cozy wine bar in Offenburg: This time, Hansi Hinterseer (70), among others, is making a guest appearance at the “Schlager-Fuß mit Andy Borg”.

The Austrian folk music legend is celebrating his 70th birthday with his compatriot, which was on February 2nd.

The associated first broadcast of the hit show has now been scheduled, at least comparatively soon.

This time, however, it is done differently than usual

On Saturday evening (February 17th), the new “Schlager-Spaß” edition will not be broadcast on its German home station SWR, but only on ORF2, the second television program of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation.

As the industry portal

reports, it is the first time ever that an edition of Andy Borg's popular music show will premiere on Austrian and not on German television.

Andy Borg welcomes these guests in his new “Schlager-Fuß” edition

As host, Andy Borg leads the show with a lot of charm, humor and warmth, in which a very special anniversary is celebrated this time: Hansi Hinterseer celebrates on February 2nd.

his 70th birthday!

The guests include pop singer Marc Pircher, the charismatic Fausta Gallelli, Nick MacKenzie, Claudia Jung, Kees Haak and Voices of the Mountains.

They will all also present popular songs together with Andy Borg.

This time the friendly TV dog Ustin, who has appeared together with Hansi Hinterseer in various film productions, appears as a surprise guest.

With this colorful program, “Schlager Fun with Andy Borg” becomes an unforgettable evening with musical highlights, emotional moments and lots of fun.

“Schlager-Fun with Andy Borg” doesn’t run in Germany until March

The German premiere will take place much later, on March 9th at 8:15 p.m. on SWR and MDR - not only over a month after Hansi Hinterseer's big birthday, but also a full three weeks after the Austrian TV premiere.

SWR viewers don't have to miss out on hits on Saturday evening: the station will be showing the show "Die Schlagerfamilien" from 8:15 p.m., in which, among others, the Kelly Family, Michelle (52) and Matthias Reim (66) as well as Wolfgang (72) and Achim Petry (49) have their say.
