Although she still has no final certainty about the death of her husband Alexei Navalny on Friday afternoon (February 16), she appeared in public in Germany.
During an appearance at the Munich Security Conference, she called for a fight against the Russian power apparatus of President Vladimir Putin.

“I want to call on the entire international community, all those in the world who are listening now, to stand together and defeat this evil, this terrible regime that rules Russia today,” Navalnaya said in a short-term speech at the Munich Security Conference according to the dpa news agency.
“This regime and Vladimir Putin personally should be held accountable for all these atrocities that they have committed in recent years in my country, in our country Russia.”
At the same time, the 47-year-old emphasized that she had not yet received any direct confirmation of her husband's death.
“I don’t know whether we should believe the terrible news we receive exclusively from Russian state sources,” she said.
“For many years – and of course you know this too – we have not been able to believe Putin and his government.
They lie incessantly.”

Then she added, visibly tense: “But if it is actually true, then I want Putin and those around him, Putin's friends, his government, to know that they have to answer for themselves.
For what they did to our country, my family and my husband.
And that day will come soon.” Alexey Navalny’s mother also commented.
Just a few hours earlier, the Kremlin had announced that regime opponent Alexei Navalny had died in Russian camp custody.
There was initially no official confirmation of the death of the 47-year-old from his support team.
His lawyers were on their way to prison.

caused horror and sharp reactions around the world.
Despite the highly likely stroke of fate, his wife Julija Navalnaya did what she had always done in recent years: she continued to fearlessly support his long-term fight against the Russian regime and continued to attract publicity with her appearance at the Munich Security Conference.
After his arrest and conviction, she gave speeches around the world, gave interviews and fought for his release.
She hardly had any direct contact with him.
She told Spiegel
last
year about attempts to contact the prison: “I try to write to Alexei every day, even if I know that the post will be censored.
I write about everything: the weather, the children's school and university, books, television shows."

Julija Navalnaya and Alexey Navalny have two children together, daughter Daria and son Zahar.
Daria in particular has recently become known because she is also fighting for her father's release on her Instagram channel and has also given a highly regarded speech to the European Parliament.
She is currently studying psychology at Stanford University.
The place of residence of wife Julija and son Zahar is less known.
The family apparently left Russia in 2021.
Alexei's wife also showed up in Germany again and again.
In Russia, Yulia Navalnaya is considered a strong leader within the opposition.
There had been speculation in the past as to whether she might follow in her husband's footsteps and enter politics.
But until now, the economist graduate had always ruled this out.
In the

interview she said: “You have to want to be a politician.
I want something different.
I want people to remember that Alexei Navalny, the Russian opposition leader, is in prison.” But now crucial parameters of this sentence may have changed.
