Now he is wanted by the police.

Miesbach

– A cyclist who was traveling in Miesbach late on Friday evening, February 16th, overshot the mark.

At around 10.30 p.m. he caused two accidents and then ran away, as the police now report.

According to the officials' report, the cyclist was initially driving behind a 26-year-old from Miesbach who was driving his Skoda on Rosenheimer Straße towards the town square.

In the Haindlberg area, the driver wanted to turn left into a driveway, but had to slow down because of oncoming traffic, according to the police.

Unbraked in Skoda: rear window breaks

The cyclist apparently noticed this too late: according to witness statements, he drove “unbraked” into the rear of the Skoda in front.

“The collision caused the rear window of the Skoda to break,” reports the police.

But before the driver could get out of the vehicle, the cyclist suddenly drove past the Skoda towards the town square.

“During the overtaking process, the cyclist hit the left front of an oncoming Nissan belonging to a 34-year-old from Miesbach, which also caused material damage to this vehicle in the form of paintwork damage.”

Undeterred by this second collision, the cyclist continued his journey and then fled over Lebzelterberg and Fraunhofer Straße in the direction of Rathausstraße.

“This is where the trace of the cyclist is ultimately lost,” summarizes the police.

Injuries and broken glass are possible

According to the current status of the investigation, both damaged vehicles suffered material damage amounting to around 900 euros.

The Miesbach police are now looking for witnesses who were able to observe a conspicuous cyclist in the area of Rathausstrasse and the surrounding area at the time mentioned.

The bike is described as dark with silver stripes.

According to police, it had no lighting.

Damage could be in the area of the front tire, fork and handlebars.

The driver himself is described as male, around 1.75 meters tall, with dark hair and dark clothing.

Because of the first collision, the police are not ruling out injuries, such as those to the head, face and hands.

“Superficial cuts caused by glass splinters are also conceivable.” Officers will accept information on 08025/2990.
