The police arrested this weekend (Friday) a 24-year-old man, a resident of East Jerusalem, on suspicion of trafficking in weapons intended for terrorist activity.
The North Military Police, through the border unit, acted against illegal amla dealers in one of the Galilee settlements with the aim of thwarting the weapons from reaching hostile or criminal elements and harming civilians.

During the operation, the forces identified a Honda-type vehicle and near the Karmiel intersection, the police forces stopped the vehicle and seized inside it, a Matador-type shoulder missile with an operating system, nine grenades, and over 1000 mag-type machine gun bullets.

North district saboteurs were rushed to the scene and treated the captured amla and the driver of the car, a resident of East Jerusalem, was arrested and brought to the North district police station for questioning.
