The attorney's office is discussing negotiations to reach a plea deal with the four young women who were accused last year of smuggling drugs in their suitcases after they were caught in Israel. The plea deal will likely be signed tomorrow and presented at a hearing in the Central District Court. As of this stage, there is still a dispute over the punishment that will be handed down to the girls in accordance with the settlement

. The residents of the center, in their 20s, were arrested in January of last year at the airport when they allegedly smuggled 15 kg of cocaine and ketamine in their luggage while returning from Berlin.

A special detective unit of the Israel Defense Forces foiled the smuggling of the giant. The detective force followed two of them along the route of their entry into Israel, from the plane's sleeve, through the passport control to the collection of the luggage.

During the inspection of the luggage of three of the suspects, the police detectives revealed the large amount of drugs, which were hidden in shampoo bottles and in boxes of health food supplements. The drugs were transferred to the police's forensic laboratories. Another suspect who was on the flight was arrested outside the airport with her partner and another suspect, who allegedly tried to hide the drugs.

The police source said that the investigation revealed that the young women smuggled drugs into Israel in at least three other cases - twice from Budapest, once from Berlin, and apparently also once more from Thailand.

According to him, each of them received tens of thousands of shekels for importing the prohibited substances into Israel, and sometimes they did not receive the full payment.

The investigation also revealed that they also used drugs that they smuggled.

"Someone motivated them to take action, each time they brought between four and five kilograms of drugs."

According to him, the first suspect passed the customs and screening, and no drugs were found in her file, but the second suspect had cocaine. "During the initial questioning, she said that there were also drugs for the first time ", said the source in the police. "After an investigation, we also came to drugs that were not caught the first time and we were able to attribute them to her." Later, the source said that they then arrested the other two young women, who told the investigation about previous smuggling.

"They come from normal families.

Two childhood friends, two others met in the last two years at places of entertainment and became a very close group that celebrates and hangs out together," continued the police source. The suspects were arrested on suspicion of committing drug importation offenses and conspiracy to commit a crime. According to the prosecutor's statement submitted by the police, the suspects will be charged with importation offenses and drug trafficking. The suspects' detention was extended by five days, until February 2.

The suspects' lawyers claimed that "this is not a difficult case." "The girls' stay behind bars is difficult, the lawyer accompanies the case from the beginning." The arrest, explained that "the attorney has large amounts of material to go through, it is necessary all the days".
