All weekend, the town of Montereau Fault-Yonne brings back to life the Battle of Montereau (February 18, 1814), on the occasion of its 210th anniversary.


Three cannon shots followed by three fervent “Long live the emperor” rang out Saturday morning at the Belvédère of Montereau-Fault-Yonne (Seine-et-Marne), in the woods of the André-Malraux high school which overlooks the confluence of the Seine and of Yonne.

To the delight of admirers of Napoleon I and history buffs.
