Almost ten years since this project was on the cards of traders on the legendary rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, in Paris (8th arrondissement).
After years of procrastination and negotiations in high places, the Faubourg-Saint-Honoré committee, which brings together 127 luxury houses, has finally won its case: in 2025, the prestigious avenue, which houses the Élysée Palace , will be extensively redeveloped, in particular by giving a “stronger pedestrian dimension to the street”.
If the project was finally able to come to fruition, despite numerous security constraints, it is firstly because the committee agreed to put its hand in its pocket.
The traders' association will in fact cover 50% of the total cost of the work, estimated at 2.7 million euros.
