For six years, actor Rick Okon investigated the Dortmund “Tatort” as Jan Pawlak.
Now it's over for the 34-year-old and he's talking about the real reasons for his exit.
Dortmund – On February 18, 2024, Rick Okon (34) was in the Ruhr metropolis of Dortmund for the last time as ARD commissioner.
In “Tatort: Cash”, Okon, as investigator Jan Pawlak, had to deal with, among other things, his gambling addiction and – as the film title suggests – money.
Now the “crime scene” chapter is over for the actor – but why did he give up the job of chief detective?

In the previous week (Sunday, February 11, 2024), the ARD audience had to say goodbye to an investigator duo: The last episode of the Göttingen “Tatort” team was broadcast and divided the opinions of the viewers.
Now another inspector is saying goodbye to the most popular German crime film series.
But there are reasons for Rick Okon's “Tatort” exit.

In 1970, the first episode of Tatort flickered across German TV screens.
Today the crime series has achieved cult status and some German celebrities also took the opportunity to take part in the crime scene.
Joshua Kimmich (29) played a fitness trainer in “Tatort: Hackl” in 2023.
Udo Lindenberg (77) played himself in “Tatort: Everything Comes Back” in 2021. In 2016, Helene Fischer (39) portrayed a Ukrainian criminal in “The Great Pain”. And Schlager colleague Roland Kaiser (71) was in “Tatort: Hum, hum, hum” in 2013 as pop star Roman König.
Close relationship with the Dortmund “Tatort” crew
The actor is now dedicating himself to new projects - but what is certain is that he will miss his Dortmund colleagues, especially Stefanie Reinsperger (36).
“We got to know each other through 'Tatort' and are in contact with each other almost every day.
So: I'm not from the world and maybe we'll work together again," the 34-year-old told
