An indictment was filed this morning (Monday) against Irit Harel Berkovich, 44 years old from Samaria, who smuggled cell phones and portable devices to prisoners in Ramon Prison, while she was working within the walls of the facility and in exchange for a bribe.
The indictment revealed that Berkovic, who worked as a quality assurance manager and manager of a manufacturing plant within the facility's boundaries, received a request from the prisoner Ahmed bin Salim Dagani, 44 years old from Jerusalem, to copy content from a memory drive for him.
At first she refused, but when Mashza offered her a bribe she accepted the offer.
On several occasions, this inmate gave Lydia memory devices containing videos, pornographic videos, photos and songs in exchange for bribes, and the accused gave them back to him with duplicated contents.
At one point she even met outside the prison walls with a man sent on behalf of the prisoner, who handed her memory devices which she smuggled into the prison.
On another occasion, she purchased a large number of wristwatches and delivered them to a prisoner.

According to the estimates, the accused committed the acts in exchange for a bribe estimated at NIS 25-30 thousand.
She and the prisoner who committed the acts with her are charged with the offenses of conspiring to commit a crime, bringing RAT equipment into the prison together, accepting bribes and giving bribes.
