The actress withdrew from the association whose fight she had followed for 32 years so as not to weaken it with this controversy.

“They had a lot of complaints against me

,” declared Anny Duperey in the France 3 Île-de-France newspaper, Sunday February 18, before announcing her withdrawal from the SOS Children's Villages association.

“I told myself that I had been ardently defending this association for 32 years, and that after 32 years it was time for me to hand over the reins to my co-godmother, the formidable Isabelle Carré.”

Saturday February 10 at the microphone of RTL, Anny Duperey characterized the Judith Godrèche affair as a “

late witch hunt”.

“I'm going to get hit, but I think all of this is extremely exaggerated

,” she explained, referring to the comments of Judith Godrèche against her ex-partner Benoit Jacquot with whom she formed a relationship at 14 years old.

Even six years with a director... Under the influence, I’m willing, but still consenting, right?”

, she added.

Two days after her heavily criticized comments, the actress published a press release to correct

“clumsy” statements.

But her apologies were not enough to calm the storm which forced her to question her role as godmother of the SOS Children's Villages association, which she had held for 32 years.

On France 3, Anny Duperey apologized again before asserting that she had spent

“(her) life supporting the cause of women, children, adolescents in difficulty”.

We salute him.

However, by mutual agreement, we agreed that it was preferable to put an end to his sponsorship”
