A call to the Police about
an abandoned car
led to the
discovery of two dead brothers on a farm
in the town of Coronel Moldes, in Salta.
The men, aged 70 and 73, were
found with signs of violence
: one of them had a blow to the head and what was reported as
a handcuff on his wrist
.
It is being investigated, among other hypotheses, whether it was
a double homicide during a robbery.
The victims are Roberto (70) and Néstor Suárez (73), who
had been last seen last Friday
.
They were found this Sunday afternoon on the
La Unión farm
, located about 60 kilometers south of Salta Capital.
According to judicial and police sources, it all started when a phone call at the sixth police station alerted about a
Renault Clío car that had been abandoned for three days
in the town of El Carril, at the entrance to the El Mollar area.
Thanks to the vehicle's data, the Police confirmed that
one of the Suárez brothers was the owner
, and they headed to his farm.
Since they could not find any of the brothers,
immediate relatives gave them access to the place
.
There the discovery was made: between the kitchen and the dining room, Roberto was lying, with
a blow to the head and a lot of blood
, as well as an element similar to metal handcuffs on one of his wrists.
Later, in a room, was Néstor,
also lifeless and showing signs of violence.
Macabre discovery in Salta
Given this situation, police officers preserved the scene and personnel from the Fiscal Investigation Corps (CIF) began the rigorous tasks, under the directives of the criminal prosecutor of the
Serious Attacks against Persons Unit
(UGAP) 2, Gabriel González.
The prosecutor, who appeared at the scene on Sunday night, ordered autopsies to be carried out on the bodies, which would be carried out this Monday, and complementary studies to determine the causes of the deaths.
