Malaika from Herrsching appears on the Kika television show “Your Song” on Monday – 17-year-old wants to get to the final

Who will impress the prominent “Your Song” jury with innovative song ideas, moving melodies and creative lyrics and make it to the next round with a convincing performance?

17-year-old Malaika has been making music with her father since she was little.

No wonder he is also her biggest fan and is always the first to hear her self-written songs.

In addition to music, Malaika is particularly interested in biology and chemistry and would like to study medicine after school.

Her musical role model is Taylor Swift: She also started songwriting very early and developed quickly.

Malaika has already done numerous singing performances and would like to continue to be on stage in the future.

Her biggest dream: one day compete for Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest!

In her song "You Don't Know Me", Malaika deals with unrecognized depression and wants to draw attention to the fact that this illness is often still ignored in our society.

In the 14th season of “Your Song” Malaika already made it to the songwriting camp, but this time she is not satisfied with that.

Your goal: Clearly the final!

Anyone who successfully completes the first round of casting in front of the jury at Biebrich Castle in Wiesbaden with singer-songwriter Kelvin Jones, “Frida Gold” frontwoman Alina Süggeler, the Swiss singer and TV star Luca Hänni and singer LOTTE can look forward to the songwriting camp which is taking place at Salem Castle on Lake Constance.

The seven best songwriting talents then fulfill their dream of perfecting their compositions with prominent music sponsors - for the first time in the wonderful setting of a studio finca on the Balearic island of Ibiza.

The highlight and conclusion of the exciting “Your Song” hero’s journey is the big live final show on March 15th in Cologne, where the finalists will perform their finished songs together with their godparents for the first time in front of a TV and studio audience.

Who will be “Songwriter of the Year 2024” and can look forward to their own professional music video in addition to the trophy and talent support?
