After 18 years at the helm of the Tutzinger Fire Department Association, Boris Wolff resigned from his position at the annual general meeting on Friday evening.

His successor is Sebastian Steinmüller.

Tutzing

– The Tutzing Volunteer Fire Department looked back on an eventful year at the annual general meeting.

The new chairman is Sebastian Steinmüller.

The previous incumbent chairman Boris Wolff welcomed Mayor Ludwig Horn, numerous local council members, honorary commanders, honorary members and representatives of the district fire inspection and the district fire brigade association among the numerous participants.

On St. Florian's Day, May 6th, the ceremonial blessing of the new rescue vehicle by Pastor Peter Seidl took place, he said.

The activists Anna-Maria Stöckerl and Andreas Binder were able to take part in the Bavarian State Parliament's volunteer reception.

Another highlight in September was the “Long Night of the Fire Brigade”.

Youth officer Anna-Maria Stöckerl reported on many positive events, competitions won and the current 25 members under 18. Three had been taken into active service.

Maximilian Fichtl, Esra Hermezli, Sanja Klein and Felix Miedl received the Bavarian Youth Performance Badge; it is also considered an intermediate test for modular squad training.

The youth group was able to take part in the youth cup in Herrsching with five teams and return with victories.

The first campaign of the year is always the Christmas tree collection campaign, in which 490 trees were collected.

172 missions in 2023

Commander Christoph Knobloch began his annual report with the current membership numbers: The Tutzing fire department has 101 active members over 18 years old, including ten women.

In 2023, the fire brigade was called to 172 operations with a total duration of 193 hours (2,367 operational hours).

For example, there was a smoldering fire on a passenger train at the train station in Tutzing.

There are always calls when trapped people have to be rescued from elevators.

In September, a sailing boat completely burned out on Lake Starnberg in St. Heinrich and sank to a depth of 18 meters.

Drone operations were used to successfully search for people.

To Knobloch's chagrin, there were also 33 alarms from fire alarm systems for no apparent reason, where there was then "nothing to put out".

An operation in which a grass snake was saved was pointed out with a smile.

There will be several major events this year.

The Ramadama in the community of Tutzing is planned for April 13th, and a maypole will be set up in Tutzing on May 1st - it is “already in progress”.

An exhibition about the history of the Tutzing Volunteer Fire Department is planned in the local museum for early summer, and the traditional winter solstice fire will be held again in December.

New elections were held at the club on a regular basis.

The new deputy is Florian Girg.

The cashier is again Andreas Binder, the secretary is Florentine Lanio.

Josef Schiffner and Georg Pulfer make up the council of elders.

The three assessors are Tobias Wegl, Oliver König and Fabian Weber and the three auditors Harry Olm, Andreas Weigmann and Karl-Heinz Nicolini.

Ludwig Horn confirms his support

The new mayor Ludwig Horn, who joined the Tutzing volunteer fire department at the age of twelve, emphasized that he was always on the side of the fire department and the board and thanked everyone for the good cooperation.

Special thanks also go to the supporting members.

He is particularly pleased about the many young people with whom future work is secured - they deserve thanks, recognition and appreciation.

“We can be proud of a highly modern fleet of vehicles; this year, for example, a turntable ladder was ordered”;

it costs around one million euros.

Horn also addressed the ever-current topic of the fire station and emphatically emphasized that we already had reports and plans from which we now had to make a realistic plan, including in terms of time.

“This is a big challenge that I am happy to take on together with the commander and the local council.”
