Half a million euros collected in ten days among citizens for the construction of a hydroelectric power plant, in the municipality of Panchià, in Val di Fiemme, in Trentino.
It is the result of the Dolomiti energia initiative thanks to an investment in a crowdfunding platform managed by Ener2Crowd, a company already a partner of the similar Trentino platform Walliance.
Once in operation, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 4.2 GWh of clean and renewable energy, capable of satisfying the annual consumption of almost 2000 families.
Dolomiti Energia Holding is the partner chosen by the Municipality of Panchià to build and manage the hydroelectric power plant along the Cavelonte stream for the next 16 years, which will remain the property of the Municipality.
This is the first initiative of this type for the Dolomiti Energia Group and the first in Trentino in this sector.
Financing was accessed starting from 100 euros so that the majority of interested people could have the opportunity to join.
The average investment was 3,000 euros.
For Dolomiti Energia customers who have signed up, there will be a bonus of 25 euros on their bills.
The initiative, which could be subscribed to for about a month, reached the target of 500,000 euros raised in just 10 days.
The initially foreseen goal of 350,000 euros was increased given the great support received immediately.
