The EU Antitrust is about to sanction Apple with a record fine for the 'big tech' sector and in the order of 500 million euros for violations of the rules on competition with music streaming services.
The Financial Times reports, citing five sources familiar with the investigation, and stating that the announcement should come early next month.
The European Commission has investigated allegations that Apple blocked apps from informing iPhone users of cheaper alternatives to access music subscriptions outside the App Store.
The investigation began with a 2019 Spotify complaint.
