The Piacenza Prosecutor's Office signed the dismissal request for Tommaso Foti, group leader at the Chamber of Brothers of Italy, last Friday 16 February.
Prosecutor Grazia Pradella wrote this in a note.
"Since the investigating judge has to express his opinion on this request - specifies the Prosecutor's Office - it is not intended to issue further clarifications".
The deputy had been investigated for corruption and trafficking in illicit influence in an investigation into procurement in the province of Piacenza, which in 2022 had led to some precautionary measures and in recent days, indictment was requested for other positions.
