Director Felix Meinhardt shot a feature film on Lake Tegernsee in just 14 days.

Ostin

– film for everyone!

Director Felix Meinhardt worked with a completely new film concept.

As part of his “Hollywood workshops” he and his crew shot the feature film “Into Happyness” on the TegernSeele farm in Ostin.

The 40-year-old filmmaker wrote the script himself and is also filming part of his own story.

The special thing about shooting the 90-minute feature film is the short duration of just 14 days: Normally the shooting time is one to one and a half years.

At the “Hollywood Workshops” the focus is on teamwork; the participants in front of and behind the camera get involved and help shape things.

The broadcaster and broadcast date have not yet been determined.

The director is targeting Netflix, AmazonPrime, ARD or ZDF.

The story of the film is told quickly.

Dina, played by Karima Stockmann, strives for more and more success, attention, money and responsibility.

However, in all her striving for recognition, she loses herself and goes on her personal hero's journey to find herself.

Film workshop: Even amateurs among the actors

Stockmann, who is not a professional actress, works in normal life in Munich as a trainer for company health care and sees herself as a giver of joy in life.

“From that point of view, the role suits me very well.

I also know the feeling of always wanting more and losing yourself in the process.

“You just have to open your heart and then doors will open,” says the 40-year-old.

In addition to the main actress, there are ten other actors who bring the film to life.

The “Hollywood Workshop” project thrives on the participants getting involved, including financially.

Meinhardt advances the costs of the film, but the participants do not receive any wages.

Students and interested parties can buy into the production and even help shape parts of the respective film.

“That’s the principle: I set the guardrails and guide everyone to the finish line, but on the way there everyone has a say,” says Meinhardt.

“There is a wonderful sense of togetherness.” In the best case scenario, this should become an experience platform for everyone.

“Similar to Jochen Schweizer, you can make your own 90-minute feature film and even act in it.”

Meinhardt, who has already worked for the ProSieben magazine “Galileo” and the ZDF magazine “Terra-X” and has complete equipment for making films, has also filmed parts of his own story in “Into Happyness”.

“I was also driven by success for a while, wanting more and more until I realized that I had the need to withdraw,” says Meinhardt.

“Something changed for me and I started the workshops.”

Result even better than expected

The collaborative work during filming always resulted in new twists and turns in the film.

“It's so nice to see how the film ends up being much better than we all expected.” The participants would bring in their experiences and feelings.

“That’s what makes the scenes so authentic,” says Meinhardt.

For the script he partly used the content of his two favorite films “Into the Wild” and “The Pursuit of Happiness”.

“I am an absolute film lover and think that films can show more than reality offers,” he says.

The filming location Tegernsee was deliberately chosen.

“I like being in nature, live in Munich and often go to Lake Tegernsee with my girlfriend.” The scenery is simply beautiful.

Two days of filming took place on the TegernSeele farm in Ostin.

There, owner Christine Hansch runs a decoration shop with new and used items and lends out props.

“We often film here, but the fact that I also take part and have a small role in the film is new for me,” she says.

“I had a lot of fun, I’m looking forward to the film.”
