At the Berlinale, Jan Hofer and his chosen one flirted like teenagers in love.
What is the secret of such a happy marriage?
Berlin – Jan Hofer (74) has been the trusted news anchor for many Germans for years.
He moderated the “Tagesschau” for a whopping 35 years until he left in 2020 and moved to RTL the following year, where he moderates the 20-minute news journal “RTL Direkt”, alternating with Pinar Atalay (45).
But the 74-year-old is not only always up to date on current world events, but also knows a lot about love.

Jan Hofer recently provided proof of this at the Berlinale, which he attended with his wife Phong Lan.
The couple has been married since 2018, but had a happy relationship in the years before that.
Their son Henry, born in 2015, also comes from there.

On the red carpet, there was a kiss for this expression of love for the 74-year-old, who still seems head over heels in love with his Phong Lan.
His words left no doubt that Jan Hofer can't get enough of his wife: “We're actually always together.
Talk to each other every ten minutes when we’re not together.”

Jan Hofer and his Phong Lan: Humor unites the news anchor and his loved one
What Jan Hofer particularly appreciates about the German-Vietnamese became clear in one statement in particular - albeit only indirectly: "She can't cook, but she looks pretty good," joked the ex-"Tagesschau" spokesman, making it unmistakably clear that that his loved one shares his sense of humor.
Both of them laughed heartily at the admittedly somewhat cheeky statement.
She could do “other things,” but the news darling’s partner, who is almost 30 years younger than her, then held on.
Even after more than six years of marriage, Jan Hofer and his wife Phong Lan Truong are in love like they were on the first day.

For another RTL star, however, joy and suffering are close together: Alexander Doghmani (17) won “Das Supertalent”, but many RTL viewers are dissatisfied.
