Munich – As the Munich fire department announced on Monday, February 19th, a fire in a hotel complex in Munich-Moosach caused significant material damage.
The incident happened on Friday evening, February 16th.
The fire broke out outside the hotel and was noticed by the staff, who immediately alerted the fire department.
Christmas tree and market stall in flames
When the fire brigade arrived, the emergency services were greeted by two hotel employees who led them to the backyard where the fire was raging.
Under the hotel's canopy, a Christmas tree and a wooden market stall were ablaze.
The intense heat had already damaged parts of the ceiling and several concrete supports.

Despite their efforts to fight the fire with several small fire extinguishers, they were unable to control the flames.
