The RN wants to show up at the ceremony.
The leader of the deputies of the National Rally, Marine Le Pen, will go to the pantheonization of Missak Manouchian on Wednesday “despite the outrageous remarks of the President of the Republic”, her entourage announced this Monday.
On Sunday, Emmanuel Macron estimated in an interview with l'Humanité that "the far-right forces would be inspired not to be present, given the nature of Manouchian's fight."
Comparing the ceremony with the tribute to Robert Badinter, where the elected representatives of the RN were absent at the request of the family, the head of state estimated that "the spirit of decency, the relationship with history, should lead to making a choice.
“No reason to retreat”
The RN does not seem to agree.
“I think you have to be there.
We have no reason to retreat on these subjects,” declared Louis Aliot on TF 1. “Today, pantheonization reveals the sacred, ultimately republican character of the character, and (it) addresses to all French people, whatever their origin, their condition or their opinions,” added the far-right leader.

The leader of the deputies RN Marine Le Pen “would indeed be inspired not to come and pay tribute to those whose, in history, her ancestors contributed to their being shot”, also judged the national secretary of the Party communist Fabien Roussel on RTL.
Missak Manouchian and 23 of his comrades in arms will enter the Pantheon on Wednesday, an “act of recognition” of the communist and foreign resistance to the Nazi occupier, underlined the head of state.
