The bad Parisian reception, myth or reality?
Are we up to the task when tourists arrive to visit the capital?
With the Olympic Games less than six months away, these questions are running through our minds.
Because we all have a bad experience to tell, we French people imagine what foreigners might feel when walking around the capital.
So our journalists played the tourists departing from Roissy airport.
Taxi, RER, tourist office, visits to monuments, café terraces… the usual route for the traveler.
Even if this does not allow us to generalize, our feelings are clear: we have been too often hassled in the streets and poorly received in several establishments.
There is a real difference between the image we have of the City of Lights, conveyed among others by the series “Emily in Paris”, and reality.
