The mood among the Sharks is not the best after their recent mixed performance.
However, a separation from coach Krupp should not be up for debate.
Cologne - Former ice hockey national coach Uwe Krupp doesn't have to worry about his job as coach of the Kölner Haie despite the unrest in the area.
The “Kölnische Rundschau” reported this on Monday, citing its own sources.
Recently there was clear criticism of the two-time Stanley Cup winner, especially from the fans of the eight-time German champions.
During the 4:5 win against relegation candidate Iserlohn Roosters a week ago there were shouts of “Uwe out” in the Cologne Arena.
Before the 3:2 after extra time against the Löwen Frankfurt last Friday, some supporters showed a poster that said: “As a player, a legend, as a coach, in the end.” On Sunday, the Haie lost 1:3 in Straubing.
There was therefore speculation in the media about a separation from the former NHL defender before the end of the DEL main round on March 8th.
According to information from the “Kölnische Rundschau”, this is not up for debate.
The Haie, who wanted to play for the championship, have to worry about direct participation in the playoff quarter-finals five game days before the end of the main round.
