The motorcyclist injured in a collision with a Saint-Denis municipal police vehicle was operated on this weekend. He suffers from fractures

The 24-year-old motorcyclist seriously injured in a collision with the Saint-Denis municipal police is recovering after his operation this weekend at Beaujon hospital in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine).

Saturday around 1 a.m., he violently collided with a municipal police crew at 60, avenue de Stalingrad, in the Allende district.

A neighborhood where the victim lives.

He suffered a fractured femur and pelvis.

Contrary to speculation that swirled on social media all weekend, his life was never in danger.

But a very long convalescence awaits him.

A complaint has been filed.

The investigation was entrusted to departmental security.

The three Saint-Denis municipal police officers who made up the crew were interviewed.

As did several eyewitnesses.

It is clear that everyone delivers diametrically opposed versions of the facts.

According to the police, the motorcyclist was on the same lane as theirs, and was “facing their vehicle” before they collided on the avenue.

No camera at this specific location

The young man was “doing wheelies” when he lost control of his motorcycle, specifies a source close to the case who adds: “There was no chase”.

Impact marks were found on the side of the right front door.

On the contrary, the witnesses who gave “circumstantial” accounts explained that the police officers who wanted to intercept the motorcyclist “voluntarily cut him off”, causing him to fall.

It was not possible to rely on video surveillance images from the city because, the latter specifies, “there is no camera in this specific location.

It is located about a hundred meters further away and does not offer a view of the accident site.”

As are the pedestrian cameras that the police are equipped with.

They are never activated when inside the vehicle.

There is a camera in the cabin.

But this is triggered when taking care of a defendant during his transfer.

“There was a serious accident.

There is no question of this matter being exploited.

We owe the truth to the victim as well as to the police,” declared the municipality.

Neither the victim's family nor their lawyer have wished to provide an explanation for the moment.
