The storms in Bolivia have caused the Incachaca dam, in La Paz, to reach its maximum levels, with the risk of overflowing.
The situation has raised alert among the authorities, because rainfall is forecast to fall until the middle of this week.
Fearing the collapse of the dam, nearby residents have decided to evacuate voluntarily.
The intense rains this weekend caused a landslide in the west of the country in which at least three people died, according to local media.
Another 60 people were affected by the loss of their homes.
