In Ischia, the search for the woman who had been missing since Saturday morning and last seen on the other side of the island, in Succhivo, resumed at dawn.
The 51-year-old, married mother of two children, lives in Casamicciola and on Saturday took the car to travel several kilometers to reach the Succhivo square.
Here she parked it, leaving her bag and cell phone inside and headed towards a path that leads to the countryside, being filmed by the video cameras of a surveillance system: since that moment there has been no further news of her.
The woman seems to have disappeared into thin air despite the massive searches launched since Saturday afternoon: in addition to her family, the 51-year-old is wanted by the carabinieri of the Ischia company, by the Port Authority which has employed a lookout to search from the sea the areas where she may have headed after leaving her car parked and by numerous volunteers who are also using drones to find her.
The only trace of her at the moment is that of a possible sighting on board a bus where a witness says he saw her get on, to head towards the upper areas of Ischia.
This morning the Carabinieri dog department also arrived from Naples and started the search from the home of the missing person, and a military helicopter is flying over the southern area of the island but up to now no trace of the woman has been detected.
