Despite ongoing proceedings, Trump risks another lawsuit.
His recent statements are sparking debate among experts.
New York City – Donald Trump is currently having numerous problems with the justice system.
Among other things, the presumed Republican top candidate for the 2024 US election is accused in various criminal cases.
Two indictments concern the Republican's attempts to overturn the outcome of the 2020 presidential election and thus stay in power.
Last month, Trump was ordered to pay $83.3 million in a second civil libel lawsuit against columnist E. Jean Carroll.
Trump's lawyers had announced that they wanted to appeal.
Now a third lawsuit is being filed in the matter after Trump again sharply attacked Carroll at a rally on Saturday evening (February 17).
At the event, as Trump railed against a New York judge who ordered him and his companies to pay a $355 million fine plus interest, he fired another broadside at Carroll: “I say, who the hell is she?
Who is the woman?
“It’s so unfair what’s happening in our country,” he said, “Our court system is a mess.
They have to fix what’s happening in our country.”
Are Trump's statements enough for a third lawsuit?
Several people on social media said Trump's recent comments could result in another defamation lawsuit.
“Donald Trump just attacked E. Jean Carroll AGAIN,” wrote Harry Sisson, a US Democrat, on to repeat debunked claims.
A new lawsuit must be filed against him.
I’m ready for Carroll vs. Trump part three!!!”

, also made a similar statement: “Time for E. Jean Carroll v. Trump case #3!”
The Palmer Report portal wrote: “Donald Trump just idiotically attacked E. Jean Carroll again.
One wonders how many millions he will have to pay her this time”.
Donald Trump: Border “not crossed this time”
However, not everyone sees it that way.
Bradley Moss, a lawyer specializing in national security litigation, told Newsweek that Trump "came close" with his comments but didn't cross the line this time.

Legal experts told
Newsweek
that there is no limit to how many times Carroll can sue Trump for defamation.
“Trump can be sued every time he defames them through his speeches and written statements,” said Florida Attorney General Dave Aronberg.
“Each additional case becomes easier for Carroll’s attorneys to win.”
Barbara McQuade, a former prosecutor for the Eastern District of Michigan, also said that a jury “has already found that Trump sexually assaulted E. Jean Carroll.
Every time he denies it, he opens himself up to another defamation lawsuit.”
This time, Donald Trump could get away with a black eye.
Whether he will hold back on further appearances in the future is at least questionable.
And then it really threatens - the third lawsuit in this matter.
