“Rick's Café” in Ismaning was broken into at the weekend.
The perpetrator or perpetrators stole several hundred euros.
The police are now looking for witnesses.
Ismaning - “I'm totally horrified myself,” says Ingrid Treu, owner of “Rick's Café” in Ismaning, which was broken into by one or more unknown people at the weekend.
The perpetrator or perpetrators broke into the restaurant between Saturday, 2 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m., according to the press report from the Munich Police Headquarters.
Between 800 and 1000 euros stolen
The burglars first wanted to enter the café through the front door.
“They tore out the door frame, but couldn’t do it and then got in through a window,” says Treu.
“My cleaning man informed me about the break-in on Sunday morning,” says Treu in an interview with the Münchner Merkur.
“When he came into the dining room, everything was completely devastated.
The burglars tried to open the safe, but without success.” However, between 800 and 1000 euros were stolen from the wallets.
The perpetrator or perpetrators then left in an unknown direction.
The Burglary Commissioner has taken over the further investigation.
“I immediately informed the police.
The forensics team came straight away.
I was able to open again around 12 p.m. on Sunday.”
