A man who had been missing since Sunday was found with bite wounds on several parts of his body and died from his injuries.
A wolf attack is suspected.
Brixen - Albert S. from Feldthurns in South Tyrol, who had been missing since yesterday evening (February 18th), was found this morning (February 19th), several local media are reporting on this.
A woman who had been out with her dog found the 73-year-old with life-threatening injuries in a meadow near a sports zone near Pinzagen in the morning.
The community is located near the city of Brixen in the Italian part of Tyrol.
The man had several bite wounds and died from his injuries a short time later.
An animal attack is suspected but has yet to be confirmed.

Albert S. had bite wounds on his neck, upper body and arms.
However, it will only be possible to know how he sustained this injury after a more detailed examination and a DNA test.
The woman who found the missing man this morning explains to

: “I was walking my dog when I saw the man lying motionless next to the path.” He was still breathing, but his eyes were closed.
“I spoke to him until the emergency services arrived so that he would remain conscious,” says the woman, describing the situation.

The rescue workers were already in the area at this point as they were looking for the 73-year-old.
They resuscitated Albert S. immediately and he was then flown by a rescue helicopter to the hospital in Bolzano.
A mountain rescue service, several volunteer fire brigades, a dog unit and authorities were on duty.
Investigations must show the exact cause of the injuries and whether they were really an attack by an animal.
However, as

reports, the carabinieri suspect that a wolf could be responsible for the injuries.
More wolves are also appearing in Bavaria again.
Dead and injured sheep were found near Aying.
The assumption: a wolf could have been up to mischief here.
The farming family is worried.
And also a reason for caution for dog owners, because the encounter between wolf and dog can be critical.
