The weather promises to be choppy this week.
According to Météo France forecasts, we will have to get used to the gray skies which settled over a large part of France on Sunday.
The dry and calm weather observed this Monday will continue on Tuesday.
But the lull will be short-lived.

From Wednesday, the rain and wind will return and the disturbances will last until the end of the weekend, with temperatures dropping to seasonal averages.

A spring start to the week in the South-East
This Monday, it is in the Alps and the Pyrenees that the weather will be the sunniest, with temperatures worthy of early spring.
In the rest of the territory, despite persistent gray weather, the weather will remain dry and mild, apart from a few scattered showers north of the Loire, Météo France indicates in its bulletin this Monday.
Tuesday should be much the same.
“A little drizzle will be possible in the regions close to the Channel while clearings will develop in the southern third in the afternoon, still mild,” announces the meteorological organization.
A rainy and windy disturbance from Wednesday
The weather will get worse from Wednesday.
“An active disturbance will bring significant watering and fairly strong gusts of wind from the North-West regions,” warns Météo France.
The southwest and eastern regions should still be spared, where temperatures will remain “still high for the month of February” notes the meteorological organization.
“This deterioration is linked to the return of low pressure over the Atlantic and the jet current,” explains La Chaîne Météo, which confirms the risk of gales from the middle of the week.

The rain will continue to fall on Thursday in the north of the country, with significant accumulations expected in Brittany, Normandy, but also in the Ardennes and Lorraine.
This precipitation, which will take on “the character of showers”, will be accompanied by a “cold front” and strong gusts of wind, “probably up to 80 km/h inland, 100 km/h on the coast temporarily” , estimate Météo France and the Météo Chaîne.
The disturbance will reach the northeast and eastern regions overnight.

On Friday, showers will affect the whole of France.
“In this type of situation with a lot of cold air at altitude, we must expect showers sometimes delivering sleet, and which could be particularly numerous from the Landes to the west of the Pyrenees,” warns Météo France.
Faced with the expected significant amounts of rain, overflowing of rivers may be observed.
Snow is also expected in mid-mountains.
Risk of storm this weekend
The situation is not expected to improve this weekend since the weather conditions “will remain depressed and unstable”, according to Météo France, with rain and wind across the entire country.
They could even deteriorate, “an episode of gale to storm cannot be excluded, particularly on Sunday in the South-West regions”, warns the organization in its Monday bulletin.
“The entire north of France could be swept away by violent winds,” adds La Chaîne Météo.

It is also expected to snow heavily in mid-mountain.
On the temperature side, they will drop to return to seasonal averages, according to La Chaîne Météo which warns that “the values would even fall below normal with a very wintry feeling” next week.
