The sights of the Bavarian Palace Administration recorded 28 percent more visitors in 2023 than in the previous year.
Some particularly stand out.
Munich - Over 4.5 million people visited the sights of the Bavarian Palace Administration in 2023.
In some cases, new records were even set, according to a press release.
Walhalla and Nuremberg Imperial Castle with record number of visitors
There were around 28 percent more visitors than in 2022. “The Walhalla in Donaustauf, the Residenz in Munich and the Imperial Castle in Nuremberg were particularly popular: in 2023, the highest number of visitors of all time were welcomed there,” will Finance and Home Affairs Minister Albert Füracker was quoted in the press release.
Both the Walhalla and the Nuremberg Castle and the Residenzmuseum in Munich recorded visitor records in 2023.
