A cruise that's fun, a cruise that's nice?

The German TikToker Martin Dehn had a different experience on the “Aidanova”.

Bremen – rest, swim and an original entertainment program: that’s what cruises are actually known for.

In addition, cruise ships visit many tourist destinations.

According to TikToker Martin Dehn, the passengers on the “Aida Nova” had to contend with completely different concerns than the infamous “fear of missing out.”

With over 282,000 followers on TikTok and several million likes for his clips, Martin Dehn has now built up a sizeable fan base.

But his cruise experience was anything but successful.

Because instead of the sound of the sea, the holidaymaker only hears the coughing of the other passengers.

The flu epidemic currently also has Lower Saxony and Bremen firmly in its grip.

Cruise nightmare for influencers: “Everyone on the cruise ship is really sick”

Instead of thinking about how to optimally photograph the various holiday destinations, the influencer describes frightening scenes.

“This is a complete hotspot and you can’t even imagine it,” said Dehn in one of his TikTok videos.

What was supposed to be a dream trip turned into a nightmare.

And from the influencer's point of view, the other passengers are partly to blame.

“I'm walking down this hallway where I am right now.

There is a woman in the middle of the aisle, reading her brochure.

So I slowly walk up to her, she slowly looks at me and coughs completely in my face,” claims Dehn.

A cold can drag on quite a bit.

However, there are a few ways that nasty respiratory infections can be shortened to up to three days.

Wave of illness on cruises: Dehn demands that sick passengers should be more considerate.

You can't blame anyone for getting sick, but it's the way you deal with it, says the influencer.

“The people who walk around here just cough,” describes Dehn.

“At dinner, inside, it doesn’t matter.

While swimming.

You can't even imagine it.

They’re all in the hot tub and they all take turns coughing in.”

According to him, it would be desirable to use masks or at least cough into the crook of your arm.

One user said he could confirm the influencer's information and commented: “No lie!

I noticed the coughing thing too!

No matter what time.

Everyone’s always coughing.”

There were many other comments under the TikTok video from users who had similar experiences on cruise ships.
