On Monday, the former British prime minister arrived in Puerto Argentino and stated that the islands will remain under the administration of the United Kingdom "for a long time, possibly forever."
In turn, he supported the self-determination of the islanders to remain within the orbit of London, a policy in clear opposition to United Nations resolutions.
In a first reaction, the Foreign Ministry had revealed a first position, in which it clarified that it hoped that the government's positive vision had been "transmitted to the Kelpers."
