A man in his forties was brutally attacked during the night from Monday to Tuesday in Marignane (Bouches-du-Rhône),

learned from a police source.
The victim, heavily injured in the back, was allegedly attacked for tobacco.
The events occurred shortly after midnight.
The man, born in 1981, was walking quietly through the streets of the town when he was approached by an individual
“asking him for a cigarette”
.
Unwilling to give him one, he then continued on his way, ignoring the latter.
It was there that he received a hail of blows with knives.
A 10-centimeter wound in the chest
The attacker struck him several times with a screwdriver, hitting his face, back and chest multiple times and puncturing one of his lungs, before fleeing.
The victim, left alone and seriously injured in the street, himself went to a clinic while suffering from a 10-centimeter wound in his chest.
The man was taken to hospital and the police were investigating to find the attacker, whose identity was not known this Tuesday afternoon.
