This Tuesday, the trial of four men, aged 30 to 43, began at the Paris Assize Court, suspected of having participated in the armed robbery of the Chanel boutique, located on Avenue Montaigne. (VIIIth), May 19, 2016. Some of them are also on trial for a series of thefts of Range Rovers and a briefcase, inside a Brink's vehicle, containing 20,000 euros.

A first trial had already been held in January 2022. Seven men, including the mastermind of the operations, had been sentenced to sentences ranging from two to sixteen years in prison, for their involvement in this robbery as well as another heist, which occurred on December 11, 2015, at the jeweler Chopard where nearly a million euros worth of jewelry had been stolen.

Despite the links of three of the accused presented this Tuesday with the mastermind, the investigation did not make it possible to establish their involvement in the Chopard affair.

Only the Chanel robbery had been held against them.
