On February 23rd, Gisela Schneeberger returns to the stage, this time to read.

Markt Schwaben - A black umbrella that is more important than her own eight-year-old son and a lifelong frosty relationship between a daughter and her now 80-year-old mother.

These are moving stories that actress Gisela Schneeberger conjures up masterfully and with dedication on Friday evening, February 23rd at 7:30 p.m. on the stage of the Theater am Burgerfeld.

The audience can expect a touching reading consisting of childhood stories by various authors.

Born in 1948 in Dollnstein near Eichstätt, Gisela Schneeberger was fascinated by the world of theater at an early age.

While still at school, she discovered her passion for performing arts by participating in the theater group.

From 1971 to 1974 she completed her acting training at the renowned Otto Falckenberg School in Munich and then joined the Schillertheater Berlin in 1974.

It was her collaboration with greats like Gerhard Polt and Dieter Hildebrandt that shaped Schneeberger's career.

She met Polt and Müller as early as 1975 and was seen in well-known productions such as “Scheibenwischer” and “Almost like in real life” (1978).

Her success continued when she shone alongside Polt at the Munich Kammerspiele in the carnival satire “Kehraus” in 1979.

Schneeberger also proved her versatility in series and on the big screen.

She won numerous awards, including the prestigious Grimme and German Television Awards.

Overall, the reading promises to be an evening full of special moments in which the audience has the opportunity to experience Gisela Schneeberger in a new role: as a storyteller.
