The large advertising system installed a few days ago on one of the buildings which, behind the dome of the basilica of San Francesco di Paola, overlooks Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples, is becoming a social case.
The criticisms, in addition to someone talking about the opportunity to advertise a well-known brand of condoms among statues reproducing saints and crucifixes, focus on the excessive dimensions of the poster which at night with a square practically in darkness ends up being - it is underlined - "a poke in the eye ".
On social media there are also those who question the role of the Superintendence: "So careful in the past - it is noted on social media - to sanction redevelopment interventions of the famous square and which now has not expressed itself on the mega advertising system".
The images posted by the Neapolitan photographer Giancarlo DeLuca with the brightly lit facility between the dark silhouettes of the dome and colonnade immediately obtained numerous likes, giving space to discussion in the chat.
