Election poll in Carmel Castle: Eliyahu Cohen is on his way to victory in the first round - voila! native

A survey by the Smith Institute, conducted at the end of last week, shows that Eliyahu Cohen is the leading candidate for mayor and is within touching distance of victory in the first round when he is close to the required 40%


The end of the Arya Tal era?

A survey conducted by Rafi Smith's polling institute, which is considered one of the leading institutes in Israel, shows that after 25 years, Aryeh Tal is expected to vacate his seat in the municipality to the new generation.



According to the survey, Eliyahu Cohen is the leading candidate with the support of 37% of the city's residents, Dodo Cohen with 28%, and in third place is Aryeh Tal, the incumbent mayor, with 23%, and Aryeh Farjon, 9%.



Eliyahu Cohen receives broad political support from all ends of the political spectrum, even from the Likud movement which for decades supported Aryeh Tal and this time chose to support him.

Along with examining the leading candidate, the survey examined what are the most important issues for the residents of Carmel Castle that the municipality will focus on in the next five years?



According to the results, it can be seen that 55% of the residents of Tirat Carmel are interested in investing in the formal and informal education system, 53% in repairing the infrastructure, 25% in promoting cleanliness and green areas, 21% in strengthening personal security, 18% in promoting efficient transportation, 10% in strengthening the protection of the city and 4 % No opinion.



The survey was carried out by Rafi Smith's survey institute on February 15, 2024 among 502 residents of the Carmel Castle who constitute a representative sample.
