He may only be barely 2 years old, but he keeps his admirers in check.
Césame, an impressive blonde bull from Aquitaine, is the pride of Philippe Dufour, a breeder from Échouboulains (Seine-et-Marne) whose so-called “recipe farm” welcomes this Monday afternoon the first visit of the leading duo of the future LR list for the Europeans: outgoing MEP François-Xavier Bellamy flanked by Céline Imart, 41, a cereal farmer in Tarn, whose appointment to this visible number two position was made official the day before.
Like his father Marco last year, Césame and his good ton will participate in a few days in the General Competition of the Agricultural Show which opens its doors this Saturday.
“If we compete, it’s to get on the podium,” smiles François-Xavier Bellamy.
He knows that to get there on June 9, he has a lot to do.
Like five years ago, LR finds itself in a political vice, stuck between RN and Renaissance.
And with competition from the candidacy of Marion Maréchal for Reconquête which is added to the equation.
In polls, the right is given around 8% maximum.
Faced with this puzzle, LR is playing the cyclical card of the agricultural crisis.
Hence the visit from January 24 to a farm in the Oise by the head of the list or the presentation of a White Paper of 60 proposals on agriculture.
