A 34-year-old Turkish woman rents an apartment in Schwabing under false personal information and advertises it as a rental apartment.
But thanks to help, the police track her down.
Munich – A 34-year-old Turkish woman with no permanent address in Germany rented an apartment in the Schwabing district of Munich, but provided false personal information.
Using the false identity, she offered the apartment for rent on various real estate portals and carried out numerous apartment inspections from February 13, 2024.
Interested parties should pay a deposit of several thousand euros
After agreeing, those interested were asked to transfer a deposit of several thousand euros to a German bank account.
An attentive apartment hunter noticed discrepancies and compared the offer with short-term rentals on the Internet.
He came across the apartment in question and recognized the attempted fraud.
He immediately filed a police report.
Plainclothes officers from Police Station 13 in Schwabing were able to arrest the suspect during an inspection.
During the search, counterfeit money, valuables and documents from potential victims were found and seized.
