After some back and forth in the negotiation, finally
Federico Redondo will play alongside Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
His departure is in exchange for
eight million dollars for 85% of his transfer
, leaving Argentinos Juniors with 15% of a future sale.
And the 21-year-old midfielder, son of former midfielder Fernando Redondo, said goodbye via Instagram to the club that formed him.
"Today I have to embark on a new stage in my sporting career. I want to say goodbye and thank the entire Argentinos family for the respect and affection they always gave me,"
he wrote on his official Instagram account to accompany an emotional video that runs through his time in the Bicho de la Paternal.
"
To my teammates, to the club workers, to all the coaches, physical trainers, coordinators, leaders, props, medical staff and the fans for their unconditional support. Argentines always in my heart!"
he added.
The midfielder, an important player in the Argentine Under 23 National Team led by Javier Mascherano that qualified for the
Paris 2024 Olympic Games,
will soon join the
Tata Martino
team that will debut this Wednesday in the MLS 2024 against Real Salt Lake.
