There will be celebrations again in the Mammendorf festival tent: but this time only for five days.

The festival host returns, the Mammendorf folk festival is secured.
But there is also a compromise.
There are only five more days of celebration.

– The organizers are very relieved: the festival host Jochen Mörz is returning to the Mammendorf beer tent.
This means that the folk festival can take place again this year with an experienced team.
But it had to be significantly shorter.
And Kaltenberger beer is no longer served.

“The ink is dry,” says folk festival speaker Florian Simetsreiter (BGM) happily and takes a deep breath.
The Mammendorf folk festival is also secured this year.
It takes place from Wednesday May 8th to Sunday May 12th.
Festival host Jochen Mörz has signed and is returning after a year's break.
Mammendorf Folk Festival: Contract already signed

“We are happy that we can work again with a festival host who is established in the industry,” Simetsreiter told the Tagblatt.
The contract was signed last week.
However, there was one condition: the festival was “shrunk” from ten to five days.
Because Mörz is so tied up in terms of schedule that he otherwise wouldn't have been able to agree, as they say.
However, the Kaltenberg Castle Brewery is no longer on board as the third protagonist.
“We didn’t necessarily want to change the brewery,” emphasizes Simetsreiter.
However, there was apparently no other way.
Richard Sturm, area sales manager, told the Tagblatt upon request that the brewery was no longer working with the Mörz family due to irreconcilable differences.
“Unfortunately we have to do that in Bruck, but not in Mammendorf.” That has nothing to do with the community.
“If there is a new host next year, we will be there again.”

According to Simetsreiter, the decision as to which beer will be served in the festival tent on the five festival days has not yet been made.
“We’ll know more in the next two or three weeks,” said the festival speaker.
Shortly after the folk festival last year, it became clear that there would be no further collaboration with the festival host duo Michael Lautenbacher and Christoph Otto from Benediktbeuern.
The conceptual ideas between the community and the organizer, especially about what would happen in the festival tent, drifted too far apart.
Due to the shorter duration, the cabaret evening will be canceled this year.
Otherwise, Simetsreiter is in a positive mood: “In terms of events, we can accommodate everything in the five days.” There are still a few things to be clarified, but the rough program is ready.
Mammendorf Folk Festival: Opening this year on Wednesday
The folk festival opens on Wednesday with the authorities and associations day with the tapping of the first barrel of beer by Mayor Josef Heckl (BGM).
It will be interesting to see whether the König-Ludwig-Weißbier fan club will hold its traditional meeting with its annual meeting on Father's Day in the marquee if the favorite brew is not available.
After brass music is announced in the festival tent on the first two evenings, on Friday after the parade there will be brass music and then a party band to heat up the atmosphere.
Saturday is for children with reduced prices and sports with numerous club tournaments.
In the evening another party band performs.
On Sunday, the Bulldogs traditionally head back to Mammendorf from all directions.
The folk festival ends in the evening with brass music.
