Fürstenfeldbruck district – The warm February promises an early start to the amphibian season: toads, frogs and newts are currently making their way to their spawning waters in the Fürstenfeldbruck district.
So that they don't get lost, the LBV Fürstenfeldbruck is currently looking for more volunteers to collect the animals from buckets along the protective fences and bring them to the other side of the street.
The nature conservation association needs help with the fences in
Poigern, Herrnzell, Wenigmünchen
and
Mammendorf
.
The morning and evening sessions each take 30 to 60 minutes.
Anyone can collect: working people before or after work, parents with their primary school-aged children, older students or pensioners.
Even once a week helps a lot.
Overall, the season lasts four to six weeks, depending on the weather.
Everyone who helps will receive a detailed introduction and information about the equipment they need in advance.

Anyone who would like to collect can contact us by phone on 089 800 1500 or by email at fuerstenfeldbruck@lbv.de.
Collecting is important for species protection: Last season alone, helpers from LBV Fürstenfeldbruck saved more than 2,000 toads, frogs and newts.
