There was great concern for Michael Hartl when the folk musician suffered a stroke in March 2022.

His wife Marianne is therefore strict in everyday life.

Baldham – Marianne (71) and Michael Hartl (74) are currently in the final stages of their brilliant stage careers.

The folk music duo provided atmospheric entertainment for over 50 years, and now their farewell to show business is imminent.

The couple, who have been married since 1979, are scheduled to finally retire in May.

This is how Marianne Hartl keeps her Michael fit for his approaching retirement

Of course, Michael and Marianne say goodbye with a smile and a cry - after all, the two are living legends of the German pop and folk music scene.

Nevertheless, the 74-year-old believes that now is the right time: “I don’t want to do that to people: hobbling around on stage – no, I don’t like that,” said the Austrian native in an interview with “Brisant”.

He wants to “enjoy the last few years if at all possible”.

A plan that his Marianne is also sticking to.

She probably still hasn't completely gotten over the shock that hit her in March 2022, when Michael Hartl suffered a stroke and even had to be put into an induced coma.

Because she wants to have something from her loved one for a long time, the Munich woman is now taking action: “I'm a very strict person.

And ask him to do something every day,” says the 71-year-old, who ensures that her husband sticks to his “daily exercise program.”

This particularly includes long walks in nature.

Marianne and Michael are making these plans for their retirement

After their current farewell tour, Marianne and Michael are going straight on vacation.

The couple spends it on a boat in the Mediterranean.

“We now have to enjoy the golden years quickly, in continuous running,” said the musician.

In any case, the two of them won't be bored, because Marianne has already drawn up a long list of activities that she would like to complete, including "playing golf, cycling, boating" and of course spending a lot of time "with the family".

Michael Hartl also relies on physical pleasures: He wants to spend his retirement with a good drink and delicious food - plans that the couple would like to put into action as quickly as possible, as Marianne reports: “We don't know how long God will have it means with us.” Marianne and Michael had previously discussed the end of their careers in detail.
