It's a new meeting with the best fencers in the world, one more step on the road to preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Blues in men's epee, led by reigning Olympic champion Romain Cannone, are heading to southern Germany this week to compete in a round of the Specialty World Cup on Friday and Saturday in the town of Heidenheim.

But the tricolors will cross the Rhine without their boss, Hugues Obry.

The latter has, according to several sources, been on sick leave since his return from another round of the World Cup, at the end of January, in Doha, Qatar.
