The Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abd al-Rahman al-Thani, spoke on the phone today (Tuesday) with the head of the Mossad, David Barna, and informed him that Hamas has announced that it has started delivering the drugs to the hostages, according to a source privy to the details.
The source noted that the Qatari side did not provide evidence of this.
The Prime Minister's Office responded that "Israel will examine the reliability of the report on the transfer of the drugs to the abductees and will continue to work for their safety."
The spokesperson of Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Qatar received the approval due to the fact that it mediated the agreement, which includes the delivery of medicines and humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza - in exchange for the transfer of medicines to the abductees.
"We continue to mediate to reach a deal to release hostages and end the war in Gaza," he added.
He informed the head of the Mossad that Hamas had announced that it had started delivering the drugs to the abductees.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office commented last month on a report according to which he approved not to inspect the shipment of medicines that will enter the Gaza Strip.
"The Prime Minister ordered the delivery of medicines to the abductees, but did not deal at all with the inspection arrangements for their introduction, which are determined by the IDF and the security forces."
After the announcement from the Prime Minister's Office, Minister Benny Gantz reprimanded Netanyahu: "Introducing the drugs to our abductees is a significant and important move that we worked hard to achieve.
The responsibility for the decision as well as for its implementation rests on the political level - and only on us."
Senior Hamas official Abu Marzouk claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "is lying again, because we are the ones who determined the quantity, the intermediary, the supply mechanism and the distribution of medicines in the northern Gaza Strip despite Israel's opposition for One hundred days".
