Two unions have just signed the agreement on compulsory annual negotiations within the management. An increase in wages which amounts to

New general increase for RATP employees.

Two out of three unions have just agreed to sign the agreement on compulsory annual negotiations (NA0).

The text ratifies a salary increase of 100 euros gross per month for all agents.

According to the management of the authority, "in 2024, the average increase in employee remuneration will amount to 4.2%", she rejoices, specifying that salaries have already increased by 5.7% in 2023, after 5.2% in 2022. For this year, it will be effective in two stages.

First June 1st for the first half, then December 1st for the rest.

The FO-RATP union, second in the group and one of the signatories, also explains that “in the company's most successful periods, the maximum obtained was 45 euros (increase) for a salary of 3,000 euros”.

He also recalls that agents should, in addition, receive profit-sharing “of a minimum of 1,100 euros” in 2024.

A boost with which management undoubtedly hopes to continue to calm the social climate in the company, and thus limit the risk of protest movements and work stoppages during next summer's Games.

At the end of 2022, just a few weeks after his arrival at the head of RATP, Jean Castex had already signed a salary increase of 372 euros per month for machinists in exchange for an increase in their working hours, in order to stem the difficulties that knew the bus sector then, in addition to the annual negotiations.

Strike notice still threatens Paris Olympics

But a few months before the opening ceremony, absenteeism is still high within the company which is stepping up actions to retain employees.

She must very soon announce measures to improve the quality of life and working conditions.

The majority union, the CGT-RATP, on the other hand, refused to sign these NAO proposals which, according to it, “remain too far from the expectations of agents”.

She estimates that with the staggering of the measure, the salary increase “is actually equivalent to 1.3% over the year 2024”.

She therefore called for continued negotiations.

At the end of January, the CGT filed a notice from February 5 to September 9 to denounce “insufficient” salary measures, thus leaving the threat looming over the period of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
